For the first time in the history of Ukraine, digital and new media art have its own platform for presentation
Ukrainian Biennale of Digital and Media Art
The first Ukrainian Biennale of Digital and Media Art was a unique innovative cultural event from 15 to 30 October 2021.
More than 50 contemporary works by famous artists from 15 countries were presented at the 700m² of the modern media gallery ARTAREA in Kyiv.
The biennial program was complemented by live performances by artists and an international conference.
Thanks to the support of the Ukrainian Cultural Foundation, the Spanish Embassy in Ukraine and the Spanish Development Agency (AECID), admission to all events was free. Exhibits from classic to the futuristic: installations, video art, kinetic sculptures, VR and NFT-exhibits, live performances.
The First Ukrainian Biennale of Digital and Media Art presented progressive examples of digital art and new media art from artists from Spain, France, Italy, Great Britain, the Netherlands, Germany, Portugal, Scotland, Romania, Iran, Canada, Japan, Taiwan, Taiwan Of Ukraine.
